Send USDT on TRON (TRC20) without TRX

Last updated: · By the Taccoin team

Short answer

Sending USDT on TRON needs Energy, which is normally paid with TRX. In Taccoin you choose to pay the fee in USDT on the send screen; the app rents Energy for you, shows the cost before you confirm and deducts it from your USDT balance, so you don't need TRX.

Steps in the app

  1. 1

Open “Send” and choose USDT on the TRON network.

  2. 2

Paste the receiver's address (it starts with T) or scan a QR code, then enter the amount.

  3. 3

For the fee payment method, choose USDT instead of TRX.

  4. 4

Review the Energy cost and the total that will be deducted from your USDT balance.

  5. 5

Confirm with your PIN. The transfer runs in two stages: paying the Energy cost, then signing and broadcasting the USDT transfer, and the app shows progress for each stage.
